Pole Practice (No Instruction)

This class is taught by:

Akayla Butler

Akayla began pole fitness in 2015 and fell in love with it immediately. She was a cheerleader for 9 years and naturally gravitated towards pole after graduating high school. Akayla's cheerleading background has helped her achieve impressive pole strength and in 2017 Akayla completed the Elite Pole Teacher Training Program. She is currently a student at Rowan University where she studies Health and Exercise science and is working towards her personal training certification. She is also a group fitness instructor, helping others to accomplish their weight loss goals. When she's not working or studying she loves to train, eat, read and try new things. In the November of 2017 she participated in her first pole competition. It lit a fire in her and she is excited to keep performing for others in the future. She hopes to continue a lifetime of fitness and fun.

Heather Chow

Heather (also known lovingly as 'Chow') started her love of dance when she was just 9 years old. She studied as many styles as she could up until she went to college. After graduating, she wanted to rekindle her love of dance through trying something new. In 2015 a coworker told her about Elite Pole & Fitness, where she took her first class and has never looked back. Heathers dance background helped her advance quickly and in 2017 Heather was invited to join the Elite Teacher Training Program, an extensive teaching and assisting program offered here at Elite. Shortly after finishing the training program, Chow was brought on as a regular instructor on our weekly schedule. She pulls on her knowledge of dance to bring her own unique style and technique to the classroom and performance stage.

Karolyn K.

Karolyn signed up for her first pole class at Elite in March of 2016. She immediately fell in love with pole fitness because she found it to be the most rewarding workout she's ever done and for the amazing friendships she has made along the way. She eagerly attended classes and quickly became an advanced level student. In 2017 she completed the Elite Pole Teacher Training Program. Along with Pole, Karolyn also practices yoga daily. In 2018 she completed a 200 hour training to become a certified Yoga instructor. You can find her teaching both pole and yoga at Elite!

When she's not at pole or yoga class, she is busy running her own custom cake business, which she's been doing since 2002. Karolyn is extremely passionate about the power of pole and yoga because of how strong and confident it's made her and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge to help other people feel the same!

Jessica Paris

Jessica has been pole dancing for 4 years. Though she's had no previous formal dance training she fell in love with the art and the strength that comes along with this unique and fun workout. Being a working musician has helped with dancing to the rhythm of the music, while being an Army Veteran has given her the determination and strength to keep advancing in her pole fitness journey. Jessica has performed in multiple Pole Showcases and most recently Jessica completed the 2017 Elite Pole Teacher Training program. Jessica brings a fun and lighthearted atmosphere to all of her pole classes.

Fifi B.

Fifi was drawn to pole dancing because of its grace, flow, and strength. After training for several years she was invited to join the 2015 Elite Pole Teacher Training Program, an extensive pole teaching and assisting program offered to qualified students at Elite. After completing our program, she immediately became part of our instructor team, and has since become one of our most sought after instructors. She recently placed 1st in the 2018 Pole Sport Organization (PSO) Floorwork & Low Flow competition and is also an elevatED Certified Flexibility Instructor. With her students, Fifi hopes to continue growing and sharing her passion for the art of Pole Dance.
This class period is dedicated to practicing your skills. An instructor will be available to help warm you up, give you pointers, and spot during practice hours. Other than the warm-up, this is a self guided class with no instruction. All levels welcome (all students must take at least one Intro to Pole before attending any all levels class).
