Pole Classes

We offer a large array of pole dance styles and classes!

Intro to Pole (if you are new, you must start here)

This is our foundational level and is designed for brand newbies and beginner-level polers. We will work on all the basics to build strength for the next level up, and the coordination needed to take our choreography-based classes (called Pole Flow). You will learn basic pole spins, pivot turns, climbs, and sits.

We offer one per pole & pole sharing options in Intro Level.

One per pole: This style is great for students who want a smaller more intimate class & more time to work on tricks.

Pole sharing:  This style is great for students who like a higher energy vibe, want to meet new people/socialize more, and/or want a little more rest time between tricks.

When is it time to level up?
When you can do a fireman spin and back-hook spin, can easily get into a pole sit, have a strong basic climb to the ceiling, and can climb into a sit. You should be able to tuck with both feet off the floor. Instructor approval is required to move up to Level 1.

Pole Level 1

This level works to build the coordination and technique for more complicated skills. We will work on more advanced sits and climbs (forearm climb, side climb), knee holds like jasmine and martini, and get comfortable with more complicated and demanding spin tricks. We will work on building strength for our choppers and getting comfortable in basic inversions.

When is it time to level up?
When you have a strong forearm climb on both static and spin. You have a strong chair spin, and you can invert into and hold a bat comfortably. Your tucks should be strong, and you should be close to or able to do a chopper.

Pole Level 2

This class is where we really start to work on your inverts! We will work on leg hangs, shoulder mount prep, Superman, and overhead pushing strength for things like handstands and butterfly. Tricks will require more advanced grip, and will involve increased challenges to your coordination and strength. We will also start to build basic combos, and strength training will focus on preparing you for aerial inverts.

When is it time to level up?
When you can easily enter all leg hangs (from a chopper) and have your butterfly on both sides. You should have a basic shoulder mount from the floor and be ready to start aerial choppers. If you meet all these requirements EXCEPT your shoulder mount, you may also attend our Level 2.5 and up classes!

Pole Level 3-4

This is our most advanced class! We will work on building more complicated combos on both static and spin, and continue to challenge your strength, endurance, and flexibility. This is where we will start working on our most advanced tricks like Ayeshas, handsprings, dangerous bird, and more. This is where we start making the hard stuff look easy!

Pole Dance Flow Classes

Pole FLOW classes focus only on the dance-y side of pole and each class features a pole dance choreography. 'Style' of pole dance choreography may vary per class/per instructor, styles may include; Sexy Heels, Contemporary, Hip-Hop/Twerk or more!

Pole Flow - Intro Level

This class is designed for our poler that wants to try Pole Flow and is feeling apprehensive about diving right in. Intro to Flow moves a little slower and has a less technical focus than any of our other Flow classes, making it perfect for our students who are new to dance or choreography-based classes. We do require that students have taken a minimum of 3 Intro to Pole classes prior to their first Flow class, as we want you to have some familiarity with pole and the basic spins to help follow the choreography as it is taught. Knee pads and socks are strongly recommended (heels optional).

Pole Flow - Beginner Level

This is our foundational level Flow class! We will start with a warm-up, and then learn a piece of basic choreography together to “perform” for ourselves (and your cameras, if you like) at the end of class. We do require that students have taken a minimum of 3 Intro to Pole classes prior to their first Flow class, as we want you to have some familiarity with pole and the basic spins to help follow the choreography as it is taught. Knee pads and socks are strongly recommended (heels optional).

Pole Flow - Intermediate Level

Once you feel comfortable in Beginner Pole Flow, you are welcome to move up to Intermediate! This next level up will be faster-paced and more technical, with slightly more advanced tricks and a longer piece of choreography to learn within the class time. Knee pads and socks are required, heels strongly recommended.

Pole Flow - Intermediate/Advanced Level

This is our most advanced Pole Flow class! If you feel comfortable in our Intermediate class, you may be ready to move up to this level. This class has the highest expectations in terms of pace and technique, and is always a great cardio challenge. Heels and knee pads are required.

Other Pole Classes

Pole 101

This class is designed for brand newbies who have never taken a single pole class before. We break down the very basics of pole to get you ready and excited for our Intro to Pole classes, in an environment where everyone is at a shared experience level!

This class is desgined to only be taken ONCE. Please move up to Intro to Pole after taking Pole 101.

Pole Strength and Conditioning

This class focuses exclusively on strength building for pole! Conditioning classes are perfect if you’re looking to advance faster, break past plateaus, and to prevent injuries. Conditioning classes are open to all levels – newbies welcome!

Mixed Level Pole

Since fewer people are available during the daytime, our weekday morning classes are open to ALL Levels. The instructor will modify the class to each student's level (which means some students may be working on completely different things). This style of class can be slightly faster paced and less organized. If you are new to pole we require that you take at least 3 Intro to Pole class before attending any Mixed Level classes.

Level 1 Prep Class

This class is designed to help bridge the gap between Intro to Pole and Pole Level 1. This class can serve as a preview of some of the increased strength and coordination demands of our Level 1 classes, making for an easier and smoother transition into the wider range of intermediate-level tricks. We offer this class once per month (date & time vary).

Closed Performance Classes

Every year we host a student showcase. We usually offer Beg through Adv performance groups as part of our showcases. These classes run for about 3 months prior to the showcase and are listed as Closed Classes. These classes are only open to students who have pre-registered for this class during our showcase sign up period. They are not open to drop-in students.

Mixed Level Lyra

This is a mixed level aerial hoop class. It is recommended that you have attended our Intro to Lyra level and have received instructor approval to move up. This level may also be accessible for you if you are a current pole student who is able to comfortably invert.

Flying Pole (Aerial Pole)

Flying Pole is a pole that is hung aerially from the ceiling (does not attach to the floor). We offer this class as workshops and privates only and require students to already have pole experience. We suggest being a Pole Level 2 (or equivalent) before trying a flying pole class!

Intro to Hammock (Aerial Sling)
